Kale Caesar with Jammy Eggs

Ever considered pairing eggs with your Caesar salad, especially of the “jammy” variety? If not, now is as good of a time as ever—starting with this incredibly easy Kale Caesar with Jammy Eggs Recipe. The addition of savory soft-boiled eggs and fresh avocado to the Organic Kale Caesar Salad Chopped Kit creates an elevated dish packed with elegant flavors and textures. The Kale Caesar kit comes with kale, radicchio, parmesan cheese, garlic romano crouton crumbles, and creamy Caesar dressing, so it’s the perfect foundation. Plus, you’re adding a significant boost of protein in the process, making this salad perfect for lunches on an exceptionally busy day. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying this salad when you simply want to enjoy fresh flavors—even if nothing is on the agenda for the day.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil to boil your eggs. Slowly drop the eggs into the water and lower to a simmer. Cook for 6-7 minutes. Immediately take the eggs out and place into an ice bath or rinse under cold water to stop cooking. Carefully peel the skin from the egg and slice in half.
  2. Assemble the Kale Caesar Salad Chopped Kit with dressing, top with jammy eggs and sliced avocado, and enjoy!

Wait… Where’s the Jam?

Jammy eggs don’t actually have jam in them, but it’s still fun to say. Oh, and if you must know, jammy eggs exist on that fine line between a hard-boiled egg and a soft-boiled egg. While the egg white is fully set like a boiled egg, the yolk is slightly set where it touches the egg white (like a hard-boiled egg) but is soft and “jammy” in the center (like a soft-boiled egg), with an almost custard-like consistency. Yes, it’s truly egg art in its (debatably) highest form.

Like any type of boiled egg, jammy eggs can be enjoyed in several ways, including on toast, in broth and noodle bowls, on a bagel, in a sandwich, or, of course, on its own with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

So, if you’ve grown a bit tired of the usual egg dishes, consider trying out some jammy eggs as part of your meal. Besides, since they aren’t cooked as long as hard-boiled eggs, that means you don’t have to wait as long. Enjoy!
