General Manager with Taylor Fresh Foods, Inc. d/b/a Taylor Farms Florida, Inc. (Orlando, FL)

Lead and train an operational team that can effectively service the customer high quality products. Champion company culture that will consistently create top quality products. Leverage detailed knowledge of product set, customers, plant capacity, and efficiencies, to direct departments under the Director, lead day-to-day operations, and establish long-term goals. Ensure on-time shipment and delivery of customer orders. Oversee plant Repair and Maintenance spend, asset utilization, and up time. Ensure substantial inbound raw material and ingredients are available to meet customer demand. Collaborate with other departments while driving efficiencies and order fulfillment. Liaise with finance on reporting metrics, standard development, and variance analysis. Ensure sufficient system capacity exists to support existing customer demand while positioning plant to be able to expand current customer program and new customer launches. Interact with customers (internal and external) as required. Direct labor spend in facility and majority of indirect labor spend and meeting budgeted spend targets for staffing needs. Commercially astute with the ability to nurture and develop strong collaborative relationships with National & Regional customers having the skill set to deliver revenue growth and lead capacity planning for the facilities to meet the future growth demands.

Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s in Food Science, Food Safety, Business, Management or related field; Employer will accept an additional two years of related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. Position requires 9 years related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Food Manufacturing: short shelf life, perishable, value added commissary production; Automated and manual food production; Product recalls and food safety issues; Lean manufacturing; Leading a Senior Management Team; Managing budgets and driving needed efficiencies; FDA and USDA (or foreign equivalent) requirements; and OSHA (or foreign equivalent).
