Grilled Tilapia, Lime and Avocado Tacos

The last thing you need between you and delicious homemade fish tacos is more prep time. Luckily, we take care of all the veggie chopping, so you can focus on pan-frying perfectly seasoned, flaky tilapia. Taylor Farms Avocado Ranch Chopped Salad Kit has everything you need for tasty taco filling—crisp romaine, cabbage, carrots, corn, green onions, and taco cheese. 

Sprinkle tilapia fillets with chili powder (depending on how spicy you like it), cumin, and salt. Cook them in avocado oil for healthy fats (just a few minutes on each side!). Wrap them in warm tortillas (we recommend flour tortillas for extra durability or doubled white corn tortillas for traditional Baja style). Add veggie mix, a slice of avocado, and a squeeze of lime, then drizzle with our creamy Avocado Ranch Dressing. These fish tacos are bright, light, and zesty with a hint of cilantro.

Ingredients

  • 1 Taylor Farms Avocado Ranch Chopped Kit
  • 2 large tilapia filets
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Avocado oil
  • Flour tortillas
  • Fresh lime, sliced

Directions

  1. In a small bowl whisk together the chili powder, salt and cumin until well blended. Place tilapia filets on a plate and sprinkle with dry seasoning.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a large sauce pan over medium-high heat. Add filets and cook for 3-5 minute per side or until fish is full cooked and flakes with a fork easily. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Prepare Taylor Farm Avocado Ranch chopped salad using included toppings and dressing.
  4. Warm tortillas over the grill, fill with desired amount of tilapia, top with Avocado Ranch chopped salad, avocado slices and serve with lime wedges. Enjoy!
