Caesar Naan Flatbread

Whether you need a sure-fire hit appetizer or a light and easy meal, flatbread always delivers. Throwing some store-bought naan in the oven is the quickest shortcut to tasty flatbread. It gets nice and crunchy in just a few minutes. Finishing it off is just as easy with our Ultimate Caesar Salad Kit. Just combine the bagged salad and top the flatbread with crisp romaine, shaved artisan parmesan, and (for real crunch lovers) croutons. Then drizzle on classic Caesar dressing and seasoning, squeeze some lemon juice for a hit of brightness, and dust it with cracked pepper. Naan is super versatile and comes in garlic, cheese (paneer), and herb varieties to experiment with as your base.

The Secret to Good Flatbread? It’s a Naan Issue.

A staple in South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, naan is beloved for its buttery flavor, pillowy texture, and charred bubbles formed by the hot clay walls of a tandoor oven. Soft and thick, it’s the ideal dipping vehicle, perfect for loading up with curry, hummus, or baba ghanoush. These days, you can find it in most supermarkets.

With a little heat, naan crisps up nicely, making it a hassle-free crust for flatbread—or flatbread’s cousin, pizza. We’ve got a couple of naan pizza recipes for fun and easy fusion food. The Everything Tostada Pizza brings the savory seasoning blend of Everything bagels with crisp veggies. Mini Mediterranean Grilled Pizzas substitute hummus for pizza sauce and top it with caramelized onion and sun-dried tomatoes.

Naan usually comes in packages of two, and each one is about the size of a personal pizza—though you might find yourself coming back for that other one!
