Asiago Kale Clementine Salad

If the best things in life are free, the second best are those that are simple. So if you’re looking to brighten up your next dinner spread with a salad that’s a cinch, this gourmet salad recipe only takes 10 minutes to prepare. All you need is our Asiago Kale Chopped Kit, a couple of clementines, pomegranate seeds, and slivered almonds. The kit’s crunchy greens, aged Asiago cheese, Parmesan-garlic crouton crumbles, and tangy lemon garlic vinaigrette could steal the show on their own. Imagine all that plus a bursting bite of citrus and juicy pomegranate seeds! And you’ll get a hint of the umami flavor of almonds—especially if they’re toasted. So easy, it’s almost too good (and green) to be true.

Citrus Salads—That’s a Yes For Us

They say “an apple a day…” But what about an orange? Clementines, navel oranges, grapefruit, mandarin oranges (canned or fresh), blood oranges, pomelos—their slices make a salad just that much sweeter.

But their benefits go beyond their flavor. Citrus is packed with Vitamin C, which supports your immune system, contributes to collagen production, helps with iron absorption, and more. And for the record, the only person to ever win TWO Nobel Prizes, Linus Pauling, was a huge advocate of citrus and is said to have eaten an orange or two every single day. So there you have it.

So we’re sold on citrus, and not just for bright and zesty summer salads. We need even more Vitamin C to get us through the chills of winter, after all. If you’re ready for a dose of vitamins and healthy fats: tangy-sweet citrus and smooth, creamy avocado is a winning combo in the Winter Citrus Avocado Salad
