Round of Applause for Cauliflower

Cauliflower is having its moment in the sun! What used to be the sad, pale brother of broccoli has become a force in the food world. Packed full of vitamins and low in carbohydrates, cauliflower is everywhere from pizza crusts to fried “rice.” Creative chefs everywhere have been using cauliflower in new ways to replace traditionally carb-heavy ingredients, and this versatile vegetable is proving to hold up just fine.

Did you know that, in addition to minerals and vitamins, cauliflower even has a little bit of protein? It’s a cruciferous vegetable (like broccoli and Brussels sprouts), so it also has fiber, which helps with digestion, and antioxidants, which protect our cells from damage.

So, good news! That means that this tasty, spicy cauliflower recipe is low in carbs (and calories) and high in vitamins, and our pre-cut, pre-washed Cauliflower Florets make it a snap. You can also use these prepared florets in your next stir fry or right out of the bag with a side of hummus or ranch on a veggie tray. There are no excuses when they’re washed and ready to go. Enjoy!
