SALINAS, Calif. – (August 22, 2018) – Taylor Farms, North America’s leading producer of ready-to-eat healthy fresh foods

“The yearly backpack giving program is one of our team’s favorite community facing programs,” said Katrina Gargiulo, Taylor Farms. “It’s rewarding to have the opportunity to give back and support the future of the communities in which we operate.”

This year, 1,150 backpacks were distributed to elementary school students throughout the country, including to children of Taylor Farms employees. To date, between the internal backpack giveaway program and the partnership with GSF Foundation, Taylor Farms has provided more than 11,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students.

“When school begins each year, Taylor Farms’ annual donation of backpacks greatly benefits our students’ learning,” said Elizabeth Armenta, Principal, Alisal Community Elementary School. “Every year it’s a joy to see our students’ happy faces and hear their excitement. These efforts have truly made a difference and have touched so many lives.”
