What’s great about salad recipes like this one is its diversity of nutrients and textures.

When building a salad, we suggest combining elements that bring a unique taste profile to your salad bowl, such as:

  • Salty (like the blue cheese)
  • Crunchy (like the romaine)
  • Sweet (like the cranberries)
  • Filling & protein-filled (like the chicken)
  • Juicy (like the apple)
  • Tart (like the dressing)

You can also add ingredients that are creamy (like goat cheese or mozzarella shreds), crispy (like roasted chickpeas or pepitas), or spicy (like red pepper flakes or red onion).
