  1. Taylor Farms Showcases Flavor of Fresh at PMA Fresh Summit!

    This past week, Team Taylor ventured to Orlando, FL to connect with industry partners and showcase our latest product innovations at the always-exciting Produce Marketing Association’s (PMA) Fresh Summit Convention & Expo. Our Taylor Team brought the “Flavor of Fresh” to the Sunshine State, highlighting our newest on-trend offerings that feature innovative flavor profiles, premium ingredients and clean labeling initiatives.

    We featured our mouth-watering trio of “100% Free From” Chopped Salad kits – including our Avocado Ranch, Buffalo Ranch, and Maple Bourbon Bacon flavors – and our revolutionary Chicken Chopped Salad Kits, — Caesar, Cheddar Ranch, and Club. These premium salad kits are the first of their kind to be launched at retail stores and include ready-to-eat antibiotic-free grilled chicken, fresh veggies and savory dressing – delivering more than 30 grams of protein per bag!

    During a special industry session, our own Bruce Taylor took the stage to interview former NFL all-star quarterback Peyton Manning in a session titled, Forum for the Future: Lessons in Leadership Both On and Off the Field. This dynamic interview related insightful lessons Manning has learned during his football career to business strategy, growth and effective leadership. Manning emphasized powerful takeaways during the session – embrace disruption to ensure growth, be resilient and learn to pivot, develop deep communication skills, master the art of teamwork, always be open to learning, and NEVER stopped being coached. When asked what has been one of his greatest takeaways from the game – Manning answered “people and relationships – when a team is truly connected it radiates power.”

  2. SaladPalooza with The Feed Feed

    Taylor Farms recently partnered with The Feed Feed, a crowdsourced digital cooking publication and community, for a SaladPalooza DIY lunch themed event. The event brought together local Los Angeles tastemakers and bloggers (aka the Feed Feed LA community) to network with one another and the Taylor Farms team over a deliciously healthy buffet of #GoToGreens.

    “We wanted to showcase to our Los Angeles #feedfeed community, the ease to which you can grab a Taylor Farms Salad Kit to create a really fun and exciting, easy to make dinner.  Each meal, leaning on the Salad Kit as the foundation of the meal” says Kevin Masse, of The Feed Feed. The event had 4 themed stations showcasing Taylor Farms products:

     

    1. “DREAM BOATS” Station featuring Taylor Farms Newest Chopped Salad Kits With Grilled Chicken
    2. “BABY GOT BUNS” Station featuring the popular Sweet Kale Chopped Salad Kit
    3. ‘NACHO AVERAGE SALAD” Station featuring the Avocado Ranch , BBQ Ranch, Mediterranean Crunch, Southwest Chopped, and Buffalo Ranch Chopped Salad Kits
    4. “BEAUTY AND GRAIN BOWLS” Station featuring the Taylor Farms Crafted Kits

     

    Focusing on the theme of eating beautifully and fresh, the venue was embellished with fresh florals, a communal table with menus highlight the various food options, and a #GoToGreens backdrop which ensued many boomerangs, selfies and videos posted to Instagram.

    Two local influencers, Husbands That Cook, set up a “flatlay station” and encouraged people to style their lunch and share to social. Each guest was gifted a Taylor Farms goodie bag filled with coupons, branded mason jar, recipe cards, postcards, pins, notebooks and more.

    Roasted Acorn Squash Stuffed with Broccoli Crunch

    Ingredients

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
    2. Slice a sliver off the bottom of each acorn squash to create a flat surface so the squash will stand up straight. Slice the tops off of each acorn squash.  Using a spoon, scoop out the seeds and enough of the meat to create a nice bowl to fill.
    3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
    4. Roast acorn squashes for 30 minutes, until tender and a fork can easily pierce through the flesh.
    5. In a large salad bowl toss Taylor Farms Broccoli Crunch Chopped Salad Kit with all of the components and dressing.
    6. Generously fill each acorn squash with Broccoli Crunch. Enjoy!
