One year after the spinach outbreak, LGMA was established to raise the bar of food safety. Members of LGMA work together to protect the public health by reducing cross contamination in Leafy Greens grown in California.

Their goals include facilitating new, actionable research, becoming a repository of global research, and providing communication. They also provide outreach and training for the industry, and research and regulatory communities. CPS continues to make advances in enhancing the safety of all produce.

Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) is a non-profit fruit and vegetable education foundation. Since 1991, PBH has been working hard to motivate people to eat more fruits and vegetables to improve public health. PBH achieves success through industry and government collaboration, first with the 5 A Day program and now with the Fruits & Veggies-More Matters® public health initiative.
